Savoring your Food

Get a piece of raw fruit or vegetable

1. Eat in a quiet place

2. Think about that moment (not the past or future)

3. Open your mind to what you are about to experience.

4. Where did the piece of fruit come from?

5. Look closely at the shape, texture, and color.

6. Take a bite like you have never had it before. What does it taste like? What does it feel like in your mouth?

Is it cold, warm, soft, or hard?

7. How does it smell?

8. Don't let anything distract you.

9. What are the thoughts and sensations do you notice?

10. Take time to savor your food!
